Idris Akuna Elba, commonly known as Idris Elba is a writer, singer and a DJ. He also proved himself in the field of production. The celebrity was born on the 6th of September in the city of London. His father was an uncomplicated man, who worked in an automotive factory. Acting was his passion and he was primarily involved in this art during his school days. In order to pursue his career, Elba had to quit the school at an early age and had to focus on acting. Idris also worked in a tire shop to support him financially. He played significant roles in Crimewatch, Bramwell, The absolutely Fabulous, The Ruth Rendell Mysteries etc. He kept on working for many TV plays and dramas but the most favorite of all is his selection for a Netflix play named as Turn Up Charlie. Elbe continued his legacy and signed a leading role in a film in 2007. Later on, he worked on several films and earned hefty amount through it. Elba was seen in music, for the first time in 2002, when he melodiously sung in the music video of Fat Joe. Recently, he collaborated with Taylor Swift in her song, “London Boy”. Elba also worked as a social worker for elimination of Ebola from West Africa. He was also an organizer and host of FIFA awards in 2017. He was also an exceptional sportsman and was highly skilled in martial arts. He got many awards including the award for hundred most beautiful people, MOBO inspiration award, best dressed British man etc.
